The first question most people ask us is "Did your Mom teach you?". When we answer "yes" they say "she must be quite good". Honestly, when we started sewing, three years ago, she had no experience except from a shirt she had made for a Home Economics class in grade nine. The whole idea of sewing started when the girls in our family got 18" dolls(with dolls, comes new clothes.)When my mother saw the prices on American Girl she didn't want to buy one outfit, not to mention at least three. So, she started sewing simple, using easy patterns, and teaching us girls the basics. Not long after that, we made matching dresses (doll and girl) for easter and loved them:)That is how this business started.
All the credit I(Miriam)get for sewing, will be directed to my mother. She, so paitiently helped me on those days when I felt like giving up and encouraged me in this long, lost art.
